My baby is 6 months old! I can't believe it! We went to her 6 months check up and everything was great! She was 17 lbs. 12 oz. (75-90%) and 28 inches long (100%). My girl is such a tall, chunky monkey! Dr. V listened to her heart and said that it sounded "clear", which I am assuming was good. We started her on veggies, which she loves (besides green beans!). She has been really healthy and we pretty much made it through the winter with no sickness! YAY! She is rolling over both ways, sitting up on her own and starting to show signs that she wants to crawl. The older she gets the more fun she is getting! She has quite the personality! She is sweet yet stubborn! When I am nursing her, if I dont pay complete attention to her, or if I talk to someone or laugh at the TV she gets SO mad! She is starting to really recognize people now too. If you are playing with her and you walk away she cries untill you come back! I am having a blast with her! I am so blessed to have such a sweet healthy baby!

Well...the nightmare continues... TODAY Nicole's family was informed that Allen and Skylar are moving out of state TOMMOROW! He accepted a job and I guess had to move NOW. I can't even imagine what they are going through. First they lose their daughter tragically, then a few days after the one year anniversary of her death their granddaughter/neice/cousin/etc. is being taken away from them so suddenly! Nicole's parents decided to have an open house party to say goodbye to Skylar. I am hoping that they (and I) still get to see her on a regular basis with visits. I am asking everyone that reads my blog to pray for Nicoles family. My heart hurts so bad for them. Here are some pictures from the open house...

Where are they moving to? I'm sure he will let them come visit whenever they'd like. Is he leaving out of state because he lost his job here in MI? My prayers are with the family.
I guess I'm stuck in a jobless situation right now so I understand having to leave. Maybe when the job market gets better he'll come back in a few years? I'm sure he wouldn't do this to be a mean person but to try and provide for his daughter. I can 100% understand how her parents and you must feel as well. It's 50% of what's left of their daughter. How are her parents taking it?
Btw the "I <3 Daddy" shirt Madison is wearing ... sooooo cute! She really is the most adorable little thing. I'm so glad to see she's finally healthy. I was praying for her all the time. I really have to hand it to you how strong you were and how much I respect you being able to handle everything that God had thrown at you in the last year. You're a strong woman Shannon. I have the utmost amount of respect for you.
Madison is adorable!!!

Life is so cruel sometimes. I just read your update on what happen to your Nicole. I understand the pain, and the way tragedy just takes ahold of your life and refuses to let go. This situation with Nicole's baby Skylar leaving seems so unfair. Especially with such terribly short notice. I can't imagine a single reason one would have to leave the state with little more than a day's notice. I'll be praying Shannon.
I am so sorry, I will keep you all in my prayers!
Email me when you get a chance... I have some surgery questions for you buy lost your email.we are trying to get everything in order so I don't have to worry about that part then.
Thanks girl!
Prayers being sent your way!
